چکیده

The impedance-based criterion has turned out to be a very effective tool for the stability analysis of dual active bridge (DAB) converter with its input LC filter. While impedance DAB is highly dependent on modulation methods, influences methods impedances converters are still not clear. To close this gap, three typical converters, traditional single-phase-shift (SPS), dual-phase-shift (DPS) and emerging cooperative triple-phase-shift (CTPS) modulation, studied in paper. First, full-order models these derived first time. Second, based developed models, impacts schemes revealed. An interesting phenomenon found that open-loop SPS-DAB DPS-DAB present characteristics parallel-connected inductor capacitor, while CTPS-DAB presents resistor characteristics. Third, optimal scheme system investigated. Finally, theoretical been validated by experimental results.

Three-Phase to Single-Phase Matrix Converters: New Topology Based on New Control Method

In this paper, a new topology is proposed for three-phase to single-phase matrix converters, where more voltage levels are produced in the output in comparison with the conventional topologies. In addition, a new control method based on minimum error between the generated and the desired output voltages is proposed for three-phase to single-phase matrix converters. In the proposed control metho...

Analysis of Input Current Ripple and Optimum Filter Capacitor for Fuel-Cell-Based Single-Phase Inverter

Most single-phase inverters, being sourced by fuel cell stacks (FCSs), subject the stacks to reflected low-frequency (120 Hz) current ripples that ride on average dc currents. The ripple current impacts the sizing and efficiency of the FCS. As such and typically, a passive or active filter is required at the input of the inverter (or output of the FCS) to mitigate the ripple current. Toward tha...

A Generalized-Impedance Based Stability Criterion for Three-Phase Grid-Connected Voltage Source Converters

1  Abstract—The output impedance matrices of three-phase grid-connected voltage source converters (VSCs) are widely used in power system stability analysis. Regardless of how the impedance is modeled, there always exist coupling terms in the impedance matrix, which makes the system a multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) system. As a practical approximation, the coupling terms are generally omitted ...

Stability Analysis of a Matrix Converter Drive: Effects of Input Filter Type and the Voltage Fed to the Modulation Algorithm

The matrix converter instability can cause a substantial distortion in the input currents and voltages which leads to the malfunction of the converter. This paper deals with the effects of input filter type, grid inductance, voltage fed to the modulation algorithm and the synchronous rotating digital filter time constant on the stability and performance of the matrix converter. The studies are ...
